Stock Update (NYSE:HLF): Herbalife Ltd. Adds Top Talent to Expanding Global Corporate Affairs Team

Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) announced an expansion of the company’s global corporate affairs team based in Los Angeles. The company welcomes three experienced individuals to the global leadership team: Ric Hobby, who will serve as the company’s senior vice president for global government relations; Megan Jordan, who will serve as the company’s senior vice president for global corporate communications; and Randall Popelka, who will serve as vice president, government and industry affairs.

Two present members of the team, Julian Cacchioli and Elaine Pacheco will take on new responsibilities within the global corporate affairs team as the office undergoes a significant expansion and reorganization.

Ric Hobby will lead the global government relations team after 27 years with the company, most recently serving as the vice president, worldwide regulatory, government and industry affairs, based in Australia. “I’ve witnessed firsthand how important Herbalife is to helping empower people across the globe live healthier, more active lifestyles,” Hobby said. “I look forward to leveraging my knowledge and skills to help thought leaders understand the valuable benefits Herbalife provides to society.”

Megan Jordan joins Herbalife and will lead the global corporate communications office after managing communications at one of the country’s largest utilities, Southern California Edison. “Herbalife is one of the world’s leading nutrition companies and has created important economic opportunities for people around the globe” said Jordan. “I’m eager to join such a dynamic and passionate community and share how Herbalife is impacting the lives of millions of people.”

Randall Popelka joins Herbalife’s Washington, D.C. office after working for over two decades on Capitol Hill, in the administration of President George W. Bush and in the private sector. He will work with thought leaders in our Nation’s Capitol and focus on legislative, administrative and regulatory issues in his new role.

Julian Cacchioli will continue in his role as vice president of global corporate communications but will also take on the added responsibility of coordinating the company’s global public policy strategy and will oversee the company’s important and growing corporate social responsibility program.

Elaine Pacheco brings extensive knowledge of the company, employees and members having previously worked as the manager of employee communications for Herbalife. In her new role as strategic project manager in the office of the executive vice president for global corporate affairs, Elaine will be responsible for coordinating special projects and managing cross-functional teams within the global corporate affairs team. (Original Source)

Shares of Herbalife closed last Friday at $51.53. HLF has a 1-year high of $69.69 and a 1-year low of $27.60. The stock’s 50-day moving average is $45.23 and its 200-day moving average is $38.63.

On the ratings front, Herbalife has been the subject of a number of recent research reports. In a report issued on May 6, Canaccord Genuity analyst Scott Van Winkle reiterated a Buy rating on HLF, with a price target of $53, which represents a slight upside potential from current levels. Separately, on March 13, BTIG’s April Scee maintained a Buy rating on the stock and has a price target of $55.

Winkle has a success rate of 56.8% and is ranked #257 out of 3608 analysts, while Scee has a success rate of 62.1% and is ranked #1298.
