(NASDAQ:AMD) announced certification for Avid Media Composer® 8.4 to support broadcast and digital content creation customers for successful HD and 4K workflows powered by AMD FirePro™ professional graphics, both for Microsoft Windows® and the Mac Pro workstations. The new support for Avid Media Composer offers AMD FirePro professional graphics customers outstanding 4K display, media management and editing capabilities throughout the video production process.
Avid Media Composer is recognized as a leading nonlinear video editing software application, used extensively by professional editors in moviemaking, television, broadcast, and streaming media. AMD FirePro professional graphics enable Avid Media Composer to efficiently support editing of high volumes of disparate file-based media for accelerated high-res and HD workflows, real-time collaboration, and well-managed media management.
