Stephens analyst Matt Olney assigned a Hold rating to Hilltop Holdings Inc (HTH) today and set a price target of $24. The company’s shares closed last Monday at $23.39, close to its 52-week high of $23.58.

Olney noted:

“We estimate the annualized EPS impact is ~$0.02 and as a result, we’re increasing our 2020 EPS forecast from $1.83 to $1.85. HTH has now exhausted its stock repurchase authorization and we speculate HTH is unlikely to seek an additional repurchase authorization until early 2020. Our 2020 forecast continues to assume $50 million of repurchase activity (no change). KEY POINTS: Background. The HTH ownership from Partners dates back to 2011 when it completed an investment in Southwest Securities. In 2015, the ownership transferred when Hilltop completed its acquisition of Southwest Securities. Taylor Crandall, a founding Management has been on the BOD since 2015 and will remain a director following the transaction.Stephens Inc. Holdings Inc.”
