Tableau (DATA) Gets a Hold Rating from Oppenheimer

In a report released yesterday, Ittai Kidron from Oppenheimer maintained a Hold rating on Tableau (DATA). The company’s shares closed yesterday at $132.96, close to its 52-week high of $133.74.

Kidron said:

“Tableau reported another solid quarter ahead of expectations, driven by excellent large deal momentum and strong interest in its role-based offerings. We’re also encouraged by management’s ongoing investment in the company’s sales footprint (expansion in and platform capabilities (Tableau Data, security/governance, machine learning, end-to- end analytics, etc.), which we see as critical given credible competition and signs that enterprises are consolidating their analytics vendor base. Overall, we’re positive on Tableau’s execution and ability to deliver near the higher end of 2019 targets, but given current valuation we maintain our Perform rating, looking for a better entry point.”
