Stantec (STN) Gets a Buy Rating from BMO Capital


Stantec (STN), the Materials sector company, has received a rating update from a Wall Street analyst yesterday. Analyst Devin Dodge from BMO Capital rated Stantec (STN) a Buy, setting a C$38 price target.

According to TipRanks.com, Dodge is a 1-star analyst with an average return of -1.7% and a 57.4% success rate. Dodge covers the Basic Materials sector, focusing on stocks such as Waste Connections Inc, SNC-Lavalin Group Inc, and Stantec Inc.

Stantec has an analyst consensus of Strong Buy, with a price target consensus of C$37.63, representing a 16.2% upside. In a report issued on February 15, Scotiabank also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a C$40 price target.

Based on Stantec’s latest earnings release for the quarter ending September 30, the company reported a quarterly GAAP net loss of C$18 million. In comparison, last year the company earned revenue of C$1.25 billion and had a net profit of C$11.2 million.
