SAP AG (SAP) Receives a Rating Update from a Top Analyst

In a report released today, Brian Schwartz from Oppenheimer maintained a Buy rating on SAP AG (SAP), with a price target of $120. The company’s shares closed yesterday at $103.46.

Schwartz noted:

“SAP management provided an upbeat set of presentations for investors at its annual Capital Markets Day. Highlights included: 1) drivers for better consistency and possibly upside in the upcoming reported results; 2) confidence in the resumption of operating margin growth and increasing profitability; and 3) expect accelerating growth in 2020 cash flow. Bottom line: We believe SAP has executed well against its strategy of offering a digital intelligence enterprise management platform, and the stock can rebound this year as the business shows better trends with Qualtrics and as margin growth resumes. These developments are not fully reflected in SAP’s valuation given the challenges and risks of effectively restructuring the organization while integrating the operations, technology, products, services, and thousands of Gigya employees in 2019.”

According to TipRanks.com, Schwartz is a top 25 analyst with an average return of 27.2% and a 76.3% success rate. Schwartz covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as Salesforce.com, MiX Telematics, and Trade Desk Inc.

The word on The Street in general, suggests a Strong Buy analyst consensus rating for SAP AG with a $125 average price target, representing a 20.8% upside. In a report issued on January 29, JMP Securities also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a $131 price target.
