Oppenheimer Thinks Capstone Turbine Corp’s Stock is Going to Recover

In a report released today, Colin Rusch from Oppenheimer maintained a Buy rating on Capstone Turbine Corp (CPST), with a price target of $3. The company’s shares closed yesterday at $0.85, close to its 52-week low of $0.69.

Rusch noted:

“CPST delivered top-line results in line with its early October pre-announcement, while EPS was modestly below consensus as higher costs related to the transition of its distribution channel offset stronger growth. We continue to see CPST work to diversify its revenue mix and position its distribution channel for future growth. At the same time, we believe the company’s effort on cost reduction coupled with manufacturing absorption as utilization improves will yield strong operating leverage and improving cash management into the back-half of the fiscal year. Leaving our estimates mostly intact, we remain constructive on shares and retain our $3 PT.”

According to TipRanks.com, Rusch is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 9.1% and a 48.9% success rate. Rusch covers the Industrial Goods sector, focusing on stocks such as Canadian Solar Inc, Fuelcell Energy, and SunPower Corp.

Currently, the analyst consensus on Capstone Turbine Corp is a Strong Buy with an average price target of $2.50.
