Oppenheimer Sticks to Their Buy Rating for WhiteHorse (WHF)

In a report released today, Chris Kotowski from Oppenheimer maintained a Buy rating on WhiteHorse (WHF), with a price target of $16. The company’s shares opened today at $13.10.

Kotowski commented:

“WhiteHorse reported 3Q18 net investment income (NII) per share of $0.18 versus our estimate of $0.32 and consensus’ $0.33. Excluding the $3.1M capital gains incentive fee and $300K accelerated amortization related to refinancing of baby bonds, “core” NII was $0.349 and was only a touch shy of the $0.355 dividend. With a more than complete recovery of its investment in Aretec, WHF is now a part of the industry’s elite that has a NAV at or above IPO. With the stock only trading at 84% of NAV and 10.9% dividend yield compared to the industry average of 85% and 10.6%, we believe WHF presents a favorable risk-reward investment opportunity. We are convinced that WHF is one of best bargains in our BDC coverage.”
