Oppenheimer Reaffirms Their Hold Rating on Factset Research

Oppenheimer analyst Glenn Greene maintained a Hold rating on Factset Research (NYSE: FDS) today. The company’s shares closed yesterday at $197.48.

Greene noted:

“Following meetings with management, we remain encouraged by FDS’s strategic positioning focused on portfolio life-cycle workflow solutions, and its attractive growth opportunities within of aggregate ASV growing high-single-digits). However, secular headwinds persist within its historical buy- side/sell-side workstation business, and drag Trading growth (perhaps flat to LSD growth in 3Q18). FDS remains confident it can achieve 100bps annual margin expansion in FY19/FY20, driven largely by acquisition integration and restructuring savings. FDS anticipates market share gains, pricing, and new solutions (e.g., Open FactSet, order and execution management) to help accelerate growth. Given recent ASV growth coupled with ongoing macro challenges, we believe shares are fairly valued at ~20x our CY19E EPS.”

According to TipRanks.com, Greene is a top 25 analyst with an average return of 21.5% and a 83.7% success rate. Greene covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as Jack Henry & Associates, Fidelity National Info, and Total System Services.
