Oppenheimer Reaffirms Their Hold Rating on Dunkin’ Brands (DNKN)

In a report released today, Brian Bittner from Oppenheimer maintained a Hold rating on Dunkin’ Brands (DNKN). The company’s shares opened today at $73.60.

Bittner wrote:

“DNKN’s 1Q was highlighted by solid Dunkin’ SSS of +2.4%—the best quarterly comp in four years driven by average check gains. This quarter’s profit growth tracked ahead of the full-year outlook, but mgmt kept ’19 guidance unchanged as comparisons now toughen and G&A timing could prove lumpy. Consensus already sits at the outlook’s upper-end, so we expect little change to Street estimates. Our initial Perform thesis (launched coverage on March 25th) was predicated on the Street already appreciating DNKN’s healthy financial targets and we could become more constructive on a valuation-led pullback.”

According to TipRanks.com, Bittner is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 11.4% and a 70.5% success rate. Bittner covers the Services sector, focusing on stocks such as Restaurant Brands International, Jack In The Box Inc, and Cheesecake Factory.

Dunkin’ Brands has an analyst consensus of Hold, with a price target consensus of $74, a 0.5% upside from current levels. In a report issued on April 22, Maxim Group also downgraded the stock to Hold with a $79 price target.
