Oppenheimer Maintains Their Hold Rating on Teradata

Oppenheimer analyst Shaul Eyal maintained a Hold rating on Teradata (NYSE: TDC) today. The company’s shares closed yesterday at $40.

Eyal commented:

“For 1Q18, on a non-GAAP basis, TDC posted $0.19/$506M, with revenue up 3% y/y, beating the consensus $0.16/$496M. The pace of the model transition to a greater proportion of subscription revenue is impacting both the company’s revenue trajectory and its margin profile. TDC has updated its reporting format with new metrics. The company’s revenue breakdown now includes recurring revenue and perpetual software licenses and hardware revenue (our model has not yet been updated to reflect these changes). The ongoing transition to subscriptions and the timing of TDC’s internal investments remain key variables impacting the speed of the company’s strategic progress. We maintain our Perform rating.”
