“LHCG reported Q1:19 adj. EPS of $0.98 (GAAP: $0.60), topping OPCO/Street consensus of $0.88/$0.89E. Adj. results exclude $0.17 of AFAM/acquisition costs, $0.07 related to closures, relocations, and consolidations and $0.14 for an impairment charge. The beat vs our model was largely driven by the tax rate. Admission trends softened up a little from their torrid pace in ’18, particularly in Medicare, but cost controls helped overcome the top-line pressure. Due to the tax-rate adjustment and cost controls, the company raised FY2019 EPS guidance to $4.25-$4.35 vs $4.15- $4.25.”

According to TipRanks.com, Wiederhorn is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 13.2% and a 62.5% success rate. Wiederhorn covers the Services sector, focusing on stocks such as Cross Country Healthcare, Addus Homecare Corp, and Community Health.
