Oppenheimer Maintains a Hold Rating on Liveperson (LPSN)

In a report released today, Koji Ikeda from Oppenheimer maintained a Hold rating on Liveperson (LPSN). The company’s shares closed yesterday at $23.23.

Ikeda commented:

“We maintain our Perform rating on LPSN after LivePerson reported a good 3Q, in our assessment. Highlights include sales metrics (billings, TTM-ARPU, total-deals) that trended positively, and big deal and pipeline commentary from management that suggest LiveEngage is resonating within its base and with prospects. On balance, management is lowering the profitability profile of the business as it invests in go-to- market strategies and platform enhancements, which may take time to execute and for investors to gain comfort with. Bottom line: We think the business is doing a good job evangelizing next-generation messaging technology in the customer engagement category. However, we remain on the sidelines until there are more data points that the increased investment profile the business is undertaking for growth will bear fruit.”

According to TipRanks.com, Ikeda is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 33.4% and a 83.3% success rate. Ikeda covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as Coupa Software Inc, BlackLine Inc, and SPS Commerce.

The word on The Street in general, suggests a Moderate Buy analyst consensus rating for Liveperson with a $31 average price target.
