Oppenheimer Keeps a Hold Rating on Rockwell Automation Inc (ROK)

Oppenheimer analyst Noah Kaye maintained a Hold rating on Rockwell Automation Inc (ROK) today. The company’s shares closed on Friday at $171.60.

Kaye commented:

“ROK’s 2018 investor day highlighted its growing ability to generate value from the Connected Enterprise—the convergence of operational and information technology in manufacturing. ROK remains its own best testimonial, as accelerated productivity gains from IT/OT convergence in Rockwell’s operations since 2008 have improved margins through the cycle. However, customer commentary suggested a potential inflection point in digitalization. Importantly, customers spoke to ROK’s competitive differentiation as an automation pure-play that can leverage its factory-floor position, analytics, domain expertise and PTC’s data visualization/mixed reality capabilities to drive operational efficiencies and revenue upside for clients.”

According to TipRanks.com, Kaye is a 4-star analyst with an average return of 3.9% and a 53.4% success rate. Kaye covers the Basic Materials sector, focusing on stocks such as Advanced Disposal Services Inc, Waste Connections Inc, and Republic Services.

Currently, the analyst consensus on Rockwell Automation Inc is a Hold with an average price target of $180, a 4.9% upside from current levels. In a report issued on November 8, Barclays also maintained a Hold rating on the stock with a $170 price target.
