Oppenheimer Believes Verint Systems Inc (VRNT) Still Has Room to Grow

Oppenheimer analyst Shaul Eyal reiterated a Buy rating on Verint Systems Inc (NASDAQ: VRNT) today and set a price target of $49. The company’s shares closed on Friday at $44.05, close to its 52-week high of $44.55.

Eyal wrote:

“Press reports, including stories in the the online version of Israeli newspaper Calcalist, are reporting that VRNT is in talks to buy NSO Group, a private, Israel-based cyber-surveillance company, for $1B in stock and assumed debt. We believe NSO Group generates between $200M and $300M in revenue, so a $1B price tag would represent ~3-5x revenue. NSO Group’s controlling shareholder is San Francisco, CA-based private-equity firm Francisco Partners. If this deal is consummated, Francisco Partners could become the largest shareholder in VRNT. We have no confirmation that VRNT is in talks to acquire NSO Group. $49 target.”

According to TipRanks.com, Eyal is a top 100 analyst with an average return of 14.7% and a 66.7% success rate. Eyal covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as Nuance Communications, Varonis Systems, and Proofpoint Inc.
