“We visited VICR headquarters last week. We came away with a better appreciation for VICR’s unique position in power delivery for the growing number of machine learning/AI chips where traditional technology is impractical. We continue to expect AI related revenue to ramp in 2H:19. However, we trim estimates on increased probability of trade tension induced macro weakness. VICR is on a short list of compelling investment opportunities in our universe over the intermediate and long term. Key Points AI Roughly 30% of the company’s revenue comes from Super Computer, high performance computing and data centers. We believe that AI is in the early innings of adoption.”
