Marcus Corp (MCS) Gets a Hold Rating from B.Riley FBR

In a report released today, Eric Wold from B.Riley FBR maintained a Hold rating on Marcus Corp (MCS), with a price target of $41. The company’s shares closed yesterday at $41.40.

Wold noted:

“Thursday morning (2/21), The Marcus Corporation (MCS) reported 4Q18 results that came in above both our estimates and consensus—due to strength in both the Theater and Hotels/Resorts divisions. Although we expect 1Q19 results to be negatively impacted by the combination of weak box office trends (with projections for a double-digit decline), the closure/renovation of one of the company’s hotels and the initial integration and de-leveraging associated with the Movie Tavern acquisition, we remain positive on the full-year outlook with an expectation for a new domestic box office record, the benefits of a re-branded hotel in Milwaukee and the flow-through of the Movie Tavern circuit during stronger box office quarters. Nevertheless, due solely to a relatively fair valuation at current levels, we are maintaining our Neutral rating and $41 PT.”

According to TipRanks.com, Wold ‘s ranking currently consits of no stars on a 0-5 ranking scale, with an average return of -3.9% and a 38.5% success rate. Wold covers the Services sector, focusing on stocks such as Cinemark Holdings Inc, National Cinemedia, and AMC Entertainment.

Marcus Corp has an analyst consensus of Moderate Buy, with a price target consensus of $45.
