Ladenburg Remains a Buy on Microvision (MVIS)

In a report released yesterday, Glenn G Mattson from Ladenburg reiterated a Buy rating on Microvision (NASDAQ: MVIS), with a price target of $4.50. The company’s shares closed yesterday at $1.26.

G Mattson commented:

“We believe that the addition of an interactive visual engine allows for minimal physical imprint while enhancing productivity and enabling the AI vendors to monetize their investment. Google (GOOG, $1,184.65, NR) Home Mini was actually the top selling device worldwide, 100,000 units ahead of Amazon (AMZN, $1,974.55, NR) Echo Dot according to Voicebot.ai. With competition heating up in the space we view MVIS’s interactive projection as a credible point of differentiation for one of the AI vendors to differentiate. While we view the progress in the market as significant, the timing of a new large order is still difficult to gauge. Decisions regarding a major AI home device launch with projection display in 2019 will likely have to be made before year end. It is unclear, however, that even if MVIS were to get an order that they would be able to disclose it.”

According to TipRanks.com, Mattson is a 4-star analyst with an average return of 15.1% and a 58.6% success rate. Mattson covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as Progress Software Corp, Brightcove Inc, and Datawatch Corp.
