Just Energy Group Inc (JE) Receives a Buy from B.Riley FBR

B.Riley FBR analyst Christopher Van Horn maintained a Buy rating on Just Energy Group Inc (JE) on May 17 and set a price target of $6. The company’s shares closed on Friday at $3.12.

Van Horn observed:

“Just Energy (JE – Buy, $6 PT) reported F4Q19 results that were below consensus for both revenue and base EBITDA. The company reported C$1.02B, vs. consensus of C$1.10B. In addition, it reported base EBITDA of $C68.8M, vs. C$75.3M, as the company’s cost-control efforts did not come to fruition as much as we had thought for this quarter. JE set 2020 guidance at C$220M–C $240M, in line with where our estimates were. We slightly lower our estimate for base EBITDA to better reflect the risks associated with cost controls during 2020, but we recognize that we are more on the conservative side of expectations. We remain optimistic about management’s plan to drive consistent profitability, leading to our FY20E base EBITDA of C$223M, an ~10% increase Y/Y .”
