“Hortonworks delivered another respectable quarter, with results ahead of expectations and guidance just ahead as well. Most notable was a second quarter of positive operating cash flow, putting the company on track to achieve its full-year targets. Overall, we continue to be impressed with the company’s execution as its cloud-focused and partnership strategy appears to be paying off. What stands out most is the company’s dedication to improving profitability and achieving operating cash flow, demonstrating a fine balance of growth and spending. Notwithstanding our enthusiasm on the execution and belief that Hortonworks is likely to continue delivering on its plan, we view the shares as fairly valued with minimal room for error amid tough competition. Adjusting estimates for results/guidance. Maintain Perform.”
