Cloudera Inc Gets a Buy Rating from Mizuho Securities

Mizuho Securities analyst Abhey Lamba maintained a Buy rating on Cloudera Inc (NYSE: CLDR) today and set a price target of $18. The company’s shares opened today at $17.09.

Lamba commented:

“We think subscription and total revenue can print ~$86-87mm (+33-35% Y/Y) which is in-line with to modestly above the upper-end of guidance (cons: $86mm and $102mm). That said, we believe the magnitude of the upside is likely to be limited over the next couple of quarters as initiatives could take some time to yield results. We expect ongoing execution with EPS potentially printing near the mid-upper end of guidance. Checks indicate a healthy spending environment in the space. Our conversations following the significant guide down post F4Q results indicate that the issues facing Cloudera are likely company specific. The company faced some customer concentration risk with expansion bookings highly dependent on the few larger customers driving subscription growth.”

According to TipRanks.com, Lamba is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 15.2% and a 73.0% success rate. Lamba covers the Technology sector, focusing on stocks such as CommVault Systems, Microstrategy Inc, and Ultimate Software.
