Carlyle Group (CG) Gets a Buy Rating from Oppenheimer

In a report released yesterday, Allison M. Taylor from Oppenheimer maintained a Buy rating on Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG), with a price target of $35. The company’s shares closed on Friday at $22.30.

Taylor commented:

“On Thursday we hosted a series of meetings with Mr. Investor Relations. Mr. Youngkin has been in his new role as Co-CEO now for nine months, and we have several takeaways from our time spent with him. Key among them is that at just 7.0x our 2019 distributable earnings estimate, the stock is a rare and compelling combination of growth and value. Inside we walk through the major themes covered–fundraising, investing, and platform growth–and how each of these contributes to management’s achievable but ambitious plan to meaningfully grow the business but especially the fee-related earnings. We continue to recommend the stock.”

According to TipRanks.com, Taylor is a 3-star analyst with an average return of 4.6% and a 61.9% success rate. Taylor covers the Financial sector, focusing on stocks such as Apollo Global Management LLC, Oaktree Capital Group Llc, and Ares Capital Corp.

The word on The Street in general, suggests a Strong Buy analyst consensus rating for Carlyle Group with a $32 average price target.
