Aptiv PLC (APTV)

Oppenheimer analyst Colin Rusch maintained a Buy rating on Aptiv PLC today and set a price target of $91. The company’s shares opened today at $79.78.

Rusch said:

“With APTV beating 1Q19 expectations while guiding the balance of 2019 lower on weaker than expected production, we are encouraged by commentary that APTV is outperforming the broader market in advance of previous guidance (+6-9% vs. +6-8% prior) on strength in Active Safety. We continue to believe core to APTV’s strategic position of its Smart Vehicle Architecture, which not only simplifies vehicle design but accelerates integration of improving sensing, communications, and compute solutions. We believe this future-proofing dynamic is becoming clearer to APTV customers and will support ongoing share gains. While shares traded lower on guidance, we remain constructive and believe our medium/long-term thesis is intact as we lower underlying market assumptions and modestly lower our PT as a result.”

According to TipRanks.com, Rusch is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 11.8% and a 50.8% success rate. Rusch covers the Industrial Goods sector, focusing on stocks such as American Superconductor Corporation, Capstone Turbine Corp, and Canadian Solar Inc.

“ROX’s revenue growth has been robust, driven by growing popularity of its Jefferson’s bourbon and increased distribution of its Goslings ginger beer. The company is investing heavily behind Jefferson’s, leading to a growing balance of high-interest debt. Goslings growth has decelerated as the company lapped major distribution wins in 2018.”
