Monolithic Power (NASDAQ: MPWR)

In a report released today, Rick Schafer from Oppenheimer assigned a Buy rating to Monolithic Power (NASDAQ: MPWR), with a price target of $150. The company’s shares closed on Friday at $134.26, close to its 52-week high of $137.80.

Schafer wrote:

“We attended MPWR AD Thurs., June 7. Meeting was bullish as CEO/founder Michael Hsing shared his vision for continued outsized organic growth and revenue acceleration. Mgmt raised 2Q outlook and detailed plan to achieve $1B revenues by 2021 at GM/OM 57.5%/36%, suggesting ~$7.50 of earnings power. With an expanding $17B-plus TAM and solid position in sizable nascent growth vectors including automotive, cloud/server, motion control and eCommerce, we view this target imminently achievable and are raising estimates and PT. With shares up 450% over past five years (>2x SOX), we believe investors underappreciate potential for growth acceleration and see $2B top-line organically attainable within five to six years. We like mgmt’s record of consistent execution and MPS’ long-term growth/GM story. We’d remain buyers with a new $150 PT (from $130).”

According to TipRanks.com, Schafer is a top 100 analyst with an average return of 17.2% and a 72.6% success rate. Schafer covers the Consumer Goods sector, focusing on stocks such as NXP Semiconductors, Skyworks Solutions, and Texas Instruments.
