WhiteHorse (NASDAQ: WHF)

Oppenheimer analyst Chris Kotowski maintained a Buy rating on WhiteHorse (NASDAQ: WHF) today and set a price target of $15. The company’s shares closed yesterday at $13.49.

Kotowski commented:

“WHF posted an excellent first quarter result with net investment income (NII) of $0.42 versus our $0.33 estimate and the $0.36 dividend. NII beat our estimates primarily because fee income (which tends to be lumpy) of $2.2M was unusually high versus a prior 4Q average of $0.71M. We estimate that had fee income been in line with the 2017 average NII would have been $0.36. This would still have covered the dividend (a quarter sooner than expected after last year’s share hurdle) and we believe that the company is well positioned to earn at or above the dividend on a steady basis going forward. We continue to recommend WHF as a high quality BDC well priced at 94% of NAV.”

According to TipRanks.com, Kotowski is a 5-star analyst with an average return of 10.0% and a 65.6% success rate. Kotowski covers the Financial sector, focusing on stocks such as Eagle Point Credit Company Inc, Great Elm Capital Corporation, and Apollo Global Management LLC.

WhiteHorse has an analyst consensus of Moderate Buy, with a price target consensus of $13.33.
