Intel (INTC)

Northland Securities analyst Gus Richard maintained a Sell rating on Intel today and set a price target of $38. The company’s shares closed on Thursday at $58.49, close to its 52-week high of $59.59.

Richard said:

“We do expect INTC to increase CY19 estimates. We believe INTC will be increasingly challenged as it falls further behind in process technology. Maintain UP and PT of $38. Our estimates, consensus and guidance for Q1 are $0.87 on $16B. Representing a revenue decline of 14% Q/Q below normal seasonality of down 5% to 10%. The shortage of client CPUs continued in Q1, but there was also better than expected shipments in PC in the quarter. We would expect CCG to be the source of strength in the quarter although we believe AMD captured most of the client upside. We believe the biggest risk to Q1 is weaker than expected data center revenue. We are modeling DCG down 15% Q/Q which we believe would be a negative surprise.”

According to TipRanks.com, Richard is a top 100 analyst with an average return of 25.4% and a 71.6% success rate. Richard covers the Consumer Goods sector, focusing on stocks such as Adesto Technologies Corp, Akoustis Technologies, and Power Integrations.

Currently, the analyst consensus on Intel is a Moderate Buy with an average price target of $55.24.
