Analysts Are Bullish on Top Consumer Goods Stocks: Pointer Telocation Ltd (PNTR), Enphase Energy (ENPH)

There’s a lot to be optimistic about in the Consumer Goods sector as 2 analysts just weighed in on Pointer Telocation Ltd (PNTR) and Enphase Energy (ENPH) with bullish sentiments.

Pointer Telocation Ltd (PNTR)

B.Riley FBR analyst Josh Nichols maintained a Buy rating on Pointer Telocation Ltd yesterday and set a price target of $20. The company’s shares closed yesterday at $14.54.

Nichols observed:

“Buy-rated Pointer Telocation (PNTR, $20 PT) reports 4Q results, on Thursday morning, 2/28, call at 10:00AM ET (Dial-in: Our 4Q revenue, EBITDA, and pro forma EPS projection of $19.5M, $3.1M, and $0.31 align closely with consensus of $19.3M, $3.1M, and $0.31, respectively. Operating performance has remained resilient despite some near-term currency headwinds impacting top-line optics, and the Peso appear to be stabilizing against the USD. Services revenue was up 8% Y/Y on a constant currency basis in 3Q, and PNTR’s expanding suite of telematics offerings should support a reacceleration of top-line growth in 2019. To this point, in December, the company announced an $8.5M 4G telematics product award.”

According to TipRanks.com, Nichols is a 4-star analyst with an average return of 15.1% and a 46.4% success rate. Nichols covers the Consumer Goods sector, focusing on stocks such as Adesto Technologies Corp, Immersion Corp, and OSI Systems.

Pointer Telocation Ltd has an analyst consensus of Moderate Buy, with a price target consensus of $22.25.

Enphase Energy (ENPH)

In a report released yesterday, Carter Driscoll from B.Riley FBR maintained a Buy rating on Enphase Energy, with a price target of $7.50. The company’s shares opened today at $8.01, close to its 52-week high of $8.15.

Driscoll observed:

“Enphase (ENPH—Buy, $7.50 PT) will report 4Q18 results AMC on Tuesday 2/26. We forecast 4Q18 revenues of $85.0M but believe they could deliver at the high-end of its guided range of $80-90M. Recall that ENPH could not satisfy ~$10M in demand in 3Q18 due to component shortages; if partly rectified it could provide some revenue upside. ENPH forecasted 31-34% in gross margin (w/200 bps margin impact from expediting) in 4Q18; we forecast 31.9%. Our non-GAAP EPS estimate of $0.05, is $0.01 lower than the Street, from we believe, higher expected opex to bolster customer service.”

According to TipRanks.com, Driscoll is ranked 0 out of 5 stars with an average return of -7.7% and a 32.4% success rate. Driscoll covers the Industrial Goods sector, focusing on stocks such as Amer Superconductor, Ceco Environmental, and Fuelcell Energy.
