William Blair Remains Bearish On GNC Holdings Shares
In a research report issued today, William Blair analyst Mark Miller maintained an Underperform rating on GNC Holdings (NYSE:GNC). No price target was given.
Miller observed, “GNC shares have appreciated nearly 20% since the second-quarter release with the replacement of the CEO, an increased share repurchase authorization, and speculation the company could pursue a strategic transaction with Vitamin Shoppe. Meanwhile, it is tough to identify any improvement in operating trends during the third quarter, and the departure of four key executives in the last three months suggests deeper fundamental issues for the company.”
