William Blair Assigns Outperform On Shares Of Alexion
In a research report issued today, William Blair analyst John Sonnier assigned an Outperform rating on Alexion (NASDAQ:ALXN). No price target was provided.
Sonnier observed, “Alexion reported robust Soliris sales of $555 million, ahead of our and the Street’s estimates of $543 million. EPS of $1.27 were ahead of our estimate of $1.14 and the Street’s estimate of $1.16. The primary difference between our estimates and the company’s operating results was in higher sales of Soliris and lower spending. Exhibit 1 provides a detailed variance analysis. 2014 guidance boosted: Net product sales are expected to be $2.220 billion-$2.225 billion, up from $2.00 billion-$2.02 billion, and EPS are expected to be $5.15-$5.20, up from $4.95-$5.05 in 2014. The company ended the quarter with $1.8 billion in cash. The lower end of both top-line and EPS guidance ranges are above current consensus estimates.”
