Oppenheimer Offers Commentary on Palo Alto Networks Inc From Networks Ignite User Conference
In a research report issued today, Oppenheimer analyst Shaul Eyal maintained an Outperform rating on Palo Alto Networks Inc (NYSE:PANW), as the company is hosting the Palo Alto Networks Ignite user conference (March 30-April 1) in Las Vegas.
Eyal noted, "PANW's financial analyst track (part of its Ignite 2015 user conference) provided more color on long-term plans. While keeping operating margins targets intact at a range of 22-25%, management slightly increased its gross margin range as well as its assumed S&M expense. The company's revenue profile is increasingly visible, and PANW is working to maintain growth rates while optimizing its sales organization and pricing structure."
Furthermore, "This month, PANW will introduce two new products: AutoFocus Threat Intelligence and tighter integration with VMW's AirWatch via PANW's GlobalProtect subscription. Each product announcement supports PANW's core ethos of scaling down the attack surface area. We would also note that this isn't PANW's first time seeking tighter integration with VMW (i.e. NSX integration). Threat Intelligence and mobility are key security "pain points" that PANW can address through its disruptive platform while extending market share."
According to TipRanks.com, which measures analysts' and bloggers' success rate based on how their calls perform, analyst Shaul Eyal has a total average return of 12.8% and a 67.8% success rate. Eyal has a 42.4% average return when recommending PANW, and is ranked #119 out of 3560 analysts.
