Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ:CTRP) released fourth quarter earnings on March 19, showing impressive top line growth. Following the report, Oppenheimer analyst Ella Ji weighed in on the Chinese travel agency and maintained a Perform rating on the stock. Ji did not provide a price target.
Ji highlighted that Ctrip's fourth quarter report posted impressive year-over-year growth and noted a significant increase in mobile transactions. She continued, "We think mobile, open platform, and outbound travel are the primary drivers of CTRP's robust top-line guidance of 40-50% for 1H15. Despite 4Q's in-line revenue performance, which is rare, CTRP is expected to deliver volume growth reacceleration… as well as margin improvement benefiting from scalability."
As a result, Ji raised her 1QE net revenue estimate from $349M to $383.8M and increased her 2015E non-GAAP EPS estimate from $0.49 to $0.90. In the long run, Ji believes that Ctrip is "well positioned to consolidate the market and remain the biggest, one-stop travel platform."
According to TipRanks.com, which measures analysts' and bloggers' success rate based on how their calls perform, analyst Ella Ji has a total average return of -3.1% and a 40.3% success rate. Ji has a 10.6% average return when recommending CTRP, and is ranked #3197 out of 3544 analysts.
